Access to clean drinking water is a fundamental necessity, yet water contamination remains a pressing global concern. This study investigates the effectiveness of various filtration methods in removing harmful contaminants—primarily nitrates, nitrites, and sulfates—from water sources while assessing bacterial presence post-filtration. We designed an innovative, eco-friendly, and cost-efficient filtration system and compared its performance against conventional filtration methods, including reverse osmosis, activated carbon, and LifeStraw filters. Our results demonstrated that the newly designed filtration system effectively reduced nitrate, nitrite, and sulfate concentrations while minimizing bacterial presence. Contrary to prior assumptions, our study did not evaluate E. coli survival and reproduction but instead focused on culturing and quantifying bacteria already present in the water samples. The findings indicate that the eco-friendly filtration system outperforms traditional methods in improving water safety, making it a viable solution for communities with limited access to clean drinking water.

Accurately mapping and predicting amino acid localization and gene expression patterns in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) is important for presenting the molecular basis of neuronal development and function. Introducing SculptTM, a novel spatiotemporal multi-omics deep learning framework tailored to predict amino acid localization and gene expression patterns based on genomic and proteomic inputs such as gene sequences, age, and protein identities. SculptTM uses convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to extract spatial features and recurrent neural networks (RNNs) to model sequential and temporal dynamics, allowing for detailed localization and functional predictions of expression values within the DLPFC. By doing a meta analysis across multiple multi-omics datasets, SculptTM provides a new method for elucidating the complexities between gene expression, regional localization, and progressive neuronal heterogeneity. This framework not only advances our understanding of the DLPFC's molecular architecture but also offers tools for drug delivery and personalized medicine.

Quantum computing leverages the principles of quantum mechanics to pro- cess information in ways that surpass classical computing capabilities. This paper provides an in-depth yet accessible exploration of quantum computing, covering its foundational principles, operational mechanisms, transformative applications, chal- lenges, and current research trends. Written for a college and high school audience, it aims to demystify this complex field while highlighting its potential to reshape technology and society. Each major topic is given dedicated space to ensure a thorough understanding of quantum computings significance and future prospects.

Carbon waste from sewage disposal presents an escalating environmental challenge, necessitating innovative and sustainable solutions. This project introduces a fully automated, high-efficiency algae bioreactor designed to convert carbon waste from sewage into valuable resources for isolated environments such as space habitats, bunkers, and factories. The system leverages an integrated sensor network that continuously monitors key parameters including pH, turbidity, and CO levels. These real-time measurements feed into a Random Forest-based AI model that dynamically reg- ulates three specialized pumps: one for clean water intake, one for nutrient-rich waste infusion, and one for removing nutrient-depleted algal water. Our approach involves three main phases. First, we engineered the bioreactor hardware to ensure robust, hands-free operation under variable conditions. Second, we implemented machine learning algorithms to optimize algae growth by fine-tuning the environmental parameters for normal solutions. Third, we implemented a sewage nutrient solution with the AI. Experimental results demonstrate that the system achieves consis- tently high oxygen production and stable algae growth. Waste-derived nutrients perform compa- rably to conventional nutrient sources, effectively reducing CO emissions and ammonia levels in controlled settings. This work validates the feasibility of transforming sewage-based carbon waste into essential resources while mitigating environmental degradation. Furthermore, the bioreactor's design and autonomous operation offer a relatively scalable solution that can be adapted for ex- treme and isolated environments. Future research will focus on enhancing system scalability, long- term operational efficiency, and integration with broader sustainability networks (such as specific ai-models for each sewage), ultimately contributing to innovative waste-to-resource strategies for both terrestrial and extraterrestrial applications.

This section examines the sovereignty risks associated with accession to the International Criminal Court (ICC), a critical concern for states contemplating membership. Drawing on a robust evidence base from scholarly literature, legal analyses, historical case studies, and policy reports by esteemed authors such as David Bosco, Mahmood Mamdani, and Lee Casey, it argues that ICC accession may undermine national autonomy through jurisdictional overreach, constitutional conflicts, and constraints on emerging security domains like cyber warfare and autonomous weapons. Through a detailed thematic analysis, enriched with historical context, theoretical frameworks from scholars like Kenneth Waltz and Martha Finnemore, and empirical evidence from reputable sources like Human Rights Watch, this study highlights the complexities of ICC membership for states with robust legal systems or global military presence. It advocates for cautious consideration and potential reforms to mitigate these risks, offering actionable insights for policymakers and scholars navigating the balance between global justice and national sovereignty.

There are many different types of behavior modification. Two prevalent methods are positive and negative reinforcement. Positive reinforcement boosts confidence and morale among employees. However, praise can make employees overconfident, thus adversely affecting their performance. Managers often fail to use positive reinforcement when not in a good mood or when employees are competent and thus perform their duties well. Negative reinforcement can be an effective way to strengthen the desired behavior. However, it is most effective when reinforcers are presented immediately following a behavior. The response is likely to be weaker when a long period elapses between the behavior and the reinforcer. This study aims to further delve into the short-term and long-term effects of each type of method on one's mental and physical health.

The Criminal Tribes Act of 1871, imposed by British colonial authorities in India, was a draconian law that branded entire communities as "hereditary criminals," enforcing systematic surveillance, forced settlement, and social ostracization. This paper provides a comprehensive examination of the Act's origins, implementation, and enduring legacy. It begins by contextualizing the Act within India's caste system, tracing how ancient religious codifications – from the Rigveda to the Manusmriti – established and justified a rigid hierarchy that colonial policies later exploited. We analyze the language and intent of the Act, illustrating how the British administration wielded it as an instrument to control nomadic and marginalized groups by presuming criminality by birth. The short-term impacts on Dalits (formerly "Untouchables"), Adivasis (indigenous tribes), and other minorities were severe: communities faced loss of land, curtailed freedoms, and state-sanctioned stigma, with an estimated thirteen million people across 127 communities directly affected by Independence. The Act's long-term repercussions persisted well beyond its repeal in 1949, as independent India's Habitual Offenders Act (1952) continued to profile and police these denotified tribes, entrenching cycles of poverty and prejudice. Crucially, this paper situates the Criminal Tribes Act in a comparative global context. Parallels are drawn to other systems of institutionalized oppression: the Jim Crow laws in the United States, which enforced a codified racial apartheid and denied African Americans basic rights; the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II, whereby ~120,000 people (two-thirds U.S. citizens) were incarcerated without cause; and South Africa's apartheid regime, which legally classified citizens by race to maintain white supremacy. These Criminal Tribes Act of 1871 Ranjan and Pruthy 3 comparisons reveal common patterns of using the law to strip targeted groups of rights under the guise of "social order" or "national security." The paper also examines modern surveillance measures – from preventive detention of Muslims under anti-terror laws to predictive policing technologies – arguing that the underlying logic of collective suspicion echoes the legacy of the 1871 Act in contemporary forms. Through extensive use of scholarly sources, including archival colonial reports and the writings of historians and anthropologists, as well as eyewitness accounts and recent news reports, we highlight how the narrative of "born criminals" created by the Act remains etched in societal attitudes. We incorporate historical data (caste-based census records, crime statistics) and present-day metrics (crime rates against Dalits, wealth and education disparities by caste) to visualize the enduring impact. Graphs and charts are used to illustrate trends such as the economic marginalization of Dalits and the racial disparities in incarceration that mirror caste inequalities. Ultimately, this study demonstrates that while the Criminal Tribes Act was repealed, its spirit survives in prejudices and legal practices worldwide. It calls for a critical re-examination of laws and social structures that continue to otherize and criminalize marginalized communities, advocating for reforms grounded in equality, restorative justice, and the protection of fundamental rights. The global legacy of the Criminal Tribes Act serves as a cautionary tale of how state power can perpetuate social stratification – and a reminder of the ongoing struggle to dismantle such oppressive systems.
